Poor Michael J. Fox, poor Stower family.  I actually had some sympathy for Michael J. Fox until I read further articles about the whole Stem Cell Reseach Bill in MO.  The Stowers and Stower Institute will benefit financially if stem cell research is approved by Missouri voters.  It's no wonder they are paying for ads, and in the name of humanity no less.  The kicker in my book was their implied threat to move their Institute elsewhere should the MO voters not decide to approve stem cell research.  Sounds like one of our capitalitsic sports team owner blackmailing a city for a new stadium, and not a well intentioned public benefactor.

Two opposing books.

In an article by Eileen E. Flynn, AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF on Sunday, October 29, 2006 she states; “Promoting his new book, "Religion Gone Bad: The Hidden Dangers of the Christian Right," White is asking gay and straight people to take a stand against politicians and church leaders who oppose gay marriage and other civil rights for same-sex partners.”

Mr. White must have a different Bible than I do, because in mine it states:

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile (evil) affections (love): for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: “And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly and receiving in themselves that recompense (repayment) of their error which was met…” (Romans 1:26-27)

White criticizes pastors such as Jerry Falwell and James Kennedy for teaching that homosexuality and gay marriage is wrong. Well, if you teach from the Bible, it is wrong! What is White preaching from, his own lust? Should preachers ignore the Bible and say that homosexuality is alright as long as you “feel” good about it. Why don’t we start a church for drunks, and tell them that being an alcoholic is a good thing as long as it feels good. The Bible was given to us by God to correct our actions, not to condone them. I start out my book “Separation of Church and God” with these verses:

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God (believers) may be perfect (spiritually mature) thoroughly furnished unto (prepared to do) all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:7-9)

The article continues “White, 66, worries that gays, lesbians and other sexual minorities are threatened by increasing intolerance from socially conservative Christians. He said he recently buried a young man who wrote a $10,000 check to an organization White co-founded and then hanged himself because he felt tortured by his sexual identity. "How long do we have to bury them before American gets the idea?" White asked, his brow furrowed in frustration.”

How long will it be before people like White gets the message? If this person hanged himself because he felt “tortured” because of his sexual identity, it wasn’t the fault of Bible believing pastors or Christians—now get this—it was because he was, like all other out of control sinners, “receiving in themselves that recompense (repayment) of their error which was met.”

In other words, his sin finally caught up with him and drove him crazy to the point where he couldn’t take it any more, and his solution was not in obeying the scriptures, but to get a rope and hang himself, like Judas did.

What white is doing is promoting more of the same thing that caused this man to hang himself in the first place. Sin will never make you happy. It may seem fun and look great on the surface, and seem like the right thing to do, but in the end it will consume your very soul and cause you great misery. Sin is the devil’s trap.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Proverbs 14:12)

 

Prayer, The Pledge, God and the Courts

It seems obvious to me that the constitution of the United States under the first amendment clearly restrains congress from making any laws regarding the establishment of a religion. "Congress shall make no laws regarding the establishment of a religion". This is the only hint of the separation of church and state which exists in the constitution.

The supreme court always uses this "Establishment clause" as the basis for banning prayer or nativity scenes in schools at sporting events on campus or any other state supported event and in so doing actually violate the very amendment which they are trying to uphold. Now the 9th circuit court is trying to ban the word God from the Pledge of Allegiance.

The next line in the 1st amendment says " or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". This phrase makes it clear that congress and the courts have no right to ban anything that has to do with religious freedom of expression. Prayer, Nativity scenes and the Pledge are certainly a free exercise of religion. A court can only rule on the laws which congress or state and local legislatures have passed and cannot make up laws of their own. Of course, state and local laws are subject to the constitution as well.

The courts, therefore, cannot rule on laws which the constitution says cannot exist other than to strike them down as being unconstitutional. Persons offended by hearing prayers or seeing Nativity scenes or hearing the pledge cannot be the basis for any ban under the constitution. Banning a citizens prayer anywhere in the country is indeed prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

The constitution cannot be construed as saying that prayer has to be on private property or in a church or silent. I must also mention that the constitution gives no one the right to make other people be silent which is exactly what the courts are doing.

Do not the children of this country have the freedom of speech in prayer or the pledge of allegiance? If pornography, which offends many people, can be construed as freedom of speech then why can't speech containing the word God be protected as well.

Notice that a careful reading of the first amendment puts no restrictions on religion whatsoever. All of the restrictions are put on congress and therefore the courts as well. The courts have badly misinterpreted the 1st amendment as putting the restrictions on the people and their religious expression and they continue to make rulings banning anything with God in it. That is why they are in a quandary today. If they rule on a ban they infringe on the rights of religious people and freedom of religious expression and speech. If they don't ban they (in their eyes) they infringe on the atheists. If they had simply stayed out of things to start with and not started this banning business, as the constitution requires, there would be no confusion. Everyone would have their rights of expression to believe as they wish.

A religion is not established by allowing citizens (even government workers) to freely express their religious beliefs anywhere they choose. It would only be established if congress made laws establishing an official religion i.e. Catholic, Baptist, Methodist etc. The constitution only bans lawmaking not God.

"God" is not a religion or a church and therefore should not be separated from anything. He is the basis for all religions except Atheism/evolution/humanism. Atheist don't believe in any God so why should they not be required to respect the beliefs of others who do.

The framers of the Constitution understood these things and this is the reason the restrictions are put on congress. The courts are in violation of the constitution by prohibiting the FREE exercise of religion. How can we say that this is a country with the freedom of religion when our government bans God out of nearly everything.

If the atheists don't like hearing the word God because it offends them or their children so what. I hear the word atheist, agnostic, muslim, evolution (tantamount to atheism) and other things which I do not believe in everyday as do children.

In schools evolution (implying atheism) is the only thing taught concerning origins but the atheists say that if their children hear the word God they might feel alienated from the rest of the class.

So, why cant I say the same thing about evolution and have it banned.

Instead of any ban why not simply have a homeroom for children who want to pray or recite the pledge and another homeroom for ones who do not wish to. With evolution there is no choice. It's evolution or fail. With the pledge or prayer there is a choice and what you believe doesn't affect your grades. Evolution is a religion not a science. Don't be hoodwinked by evolutionist that it is science. Real science is observable, falsifiable and repeatable. Evolution is none of these. It is the religion of humanism and is documented in the humanist manifesto. It is also the atheists godless religion. One religion cannot ban another.

The Constitution does not guarantee anyone the right to ban anything that offends him or his children. If it did almost everything would be banned including freedom because it is offensive to some people. The Constitution does, however, guarantee that there will be no laws passed and therefore no court rulings banning any aspect of religious expression.

Let's look at what the Bible says about Gay Right and Gay Marraige:

“And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help mate for him.

And the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from the man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh” (Genesis 2: 18, 21-23)

It was God who designed the institution of marriage not the courts, judges, the Constitution, or society; therefore, they cannot change or the laws of God. There is no other origin of marriage in written world history other than the Bible. It is clear that the Bible teaches marriage as one man and one woman. Man cannot change this law. God made this law at the same time that he made the law that the woman will bear children. Man cannot change this law either. No marriage between men or between women will ever be recognized as legitimate by God. In other words God considers it sin.

Once a person’s heart is “hardened” against God he will never change his sinful practices. In the above verse it says that God gave them up to a reprobate mind. In other words God knew that they had sinned so hard and for such a long time that they had lost the ability to change their attitude about God. In addition, God will allow these persons to die the sin unto death. He will literally hand you over to Satan and let him have his way with you until you die. Do not let yourself get to this point.

It should be evident that God does not condone homosexuality as a lifestyle much less allow it as marriage. Homosexual “marriage” is nothing but evil direct from Satan. We must remember what Satan’s goal is in this world. Satan wants to destroy the family unit and by so doing cause doubt concerning the things of God and confusion in the minds of people in order to obscure the gospel. Homosexuals now can be ordained ministers, they can be married legally in some places, they raise children and they want government benefits normally reserved for real marriages.

Throughout history a number of countries have allowed homosexuality to become accepted and even mainstream. In every case these countries have been destroyed and never returned.

By accepting homosexual marriage we are setting ourselves up for a fall. Without the family our country cannot stand. Homosexual marriages are not a family. They are just unrelated people living together in defiance of God. God intends for his creation to survive. He destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality as well as countries, cities and individuals since that time.

Let’s suppose that 60 to 75% of the population became homosexual over time. What would the results be? No big deal? Think about this. A large percentage of the population would die out. Homosexuals cannot reproduce by themselves plus there would not be enough children available for adoption. The bigger percentage of the population that became homosexual the less children would be born. So, the population would get considerably smaller with every passing generation. In addition, many homosexual couples do not want children so when they die there is no offspring. Homosexuals cannot procreate therefore they must depend upon someone from a real marriage between a man and a woman or a single woman putting up children up for adoption in order to have children. The only other option would be for a lesbian to be unfaithful to her partner and have sexual relations with a man (which would be sin) or to have artificial insemination from an unknown donor. In the case of a male relationship the only option would be adoption or a surrogate birth. In any of these scenarios the child would not be a blood relative of both partners and in some cases not a blood relative of either partner. What about grand children, cousins, in-laws etc? Can you imagine the confusion in a child being blood related to one of his parents and not to the other? As you can see not only is the homosexual marriage a sin (rebellion against God) but for homosexuals to have their “own” children could foster even more sin.

Children need a mother and a father to have a balance in their lives. As they grow up they receive training from a man’s point of view and a woman’s point of view who agree on the correct way to raise a child and therefore they gain an understanding of both sexes to better prepare them for life. Homosexual men especially are notorious for hating the opposite sex. If you don’t believe that simply go to a yahoo chat room and click on gay chat (if you can stand it for a few minutes) and just listen to the real homosexual men talk about women. The homosexuals portrayed on TV and in the media are not representative of real world homosexuals.

You may actually believe that you can be in a homosexual relationship and be blessed by God but you are only deceiving yourself. Homosexuality is a very bad sin because it absorbs you into the whole lifestyle. Everything that goes with it is evil. Once a person decides to turn against God then there is no end to the evil that he will do.

Homosexuals cannot procreate. God intends for his creation to survive. This is why He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Homosexuality had become mainstream and therefore its people had lost their morality, their love for God, their ability to procreate and everything else that God intended the human race to be and the cities became useless to Gods purpose and destroyed the family. God is not quick to judge. He will give people time to change their sinful ways but sooner or later he will deal with people on a personal level and a national level if a country allows homosexuality to become prevalent in society and the ones who allow and support it will be judged along with the homosexuals. A few homosexuals in any society make little difference but when it becomes mainstream or even dominates it will certainly cause a nation to fall and has. The Apostle Paul has this to say about homosexuals and those who support homosexuality:

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge. God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud (arrogance), boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only who do the same, but (those who) have pleasure in them that do them.” Romans 1:28-32.

Homosexuals claim that the reason they need to be married is that they have a “loving” relationship and want to be with their partner for life. So what. Since the Bible originates marriage and defines it as a man and woman relationship they are in violation of Gods law from the start therefore, why can’t they just love each other. Being married to each other doesn’t keep them from living in sin as it would in a man and woman relationship. It is not a moral issue with them. There is no morality in a homosexual relationship. There must be another reason. A homosexual relationship is sin anyway you look at it so getting a marriage license does not make it valid in Gods eyes. Love is not the only reason that God instituted marriage between a man and a woman. Not only did he design the human bodies for having children in a man and woman relationship but He also designed the emotional pattern and the attractive features of the opposite sex. In addition the man was designed to protect and to provide for the woman. The father and mother concept was to give children a balanced outlook on life and respect for both sexes.

It’s all about money.

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, Godliness, faith, love, patience and meekness.” (I Timothy 6: 10-11)

Homosexuals want to get the same benefits from the government as real married people such as government retirement benefits, tax breaks etc. Another interesting point is they want acceptance in society from the vast majority of people who do not accept them now. How do they plan to do this? By getting a marriage license? No, by force. They want the liberal, God hating, pointy headed, pseudo intellectual, activist, law making judges to force the acceptance of homosexuality upon other people and thereby legitimize their sin and force the spread of sin to others by making it legal. It’s like prostitution or drugs. If these were legalized many more young people would indulge in them and no one could tell them not to.

They want to force alternate lifestyles to be taught in schools and even churches to children as a good thing. They have an agenda even though many homosexuals aren’t even aware of it. The average homosexual on the street is being duped by the homosexual leaders (more specifically Satan) to spread evil throughout the world in order to destroy Gods creation. I realize that all homosexual people do not want these things but by participating in the homosexual life style they are supporting the efforts of the leaders and destroying their own souls.

What do homosexuals believe? Among other things:

God does not exist or if he does he will bless my homosexual relationship.

Marriage is for any two people who love each other even between brothers or sisters, mother and daughter, father and son etc.

The Bible has been mistranslated by scholars and is really not against homosexuality.

It’s OK to hate the opposite sex.

If I don’t believe in God that means he doesn’t exist.

Children can be raised just as well with two moms or two dads as a mom and a dad.

God made me a homosexual therefore I can’t help being what I am.

God gave no one a free will to choose for or against him.

God does not really punish sin. I can ignore Gods laws and be happy.

God made me a homosexual and then condemns homosexuality in the Bible.

“Thou shall not lie with mankind as with womankind, it is abomination…Defile not yourselves in any of these things; for in all of these are the nations defiled which I cast out before you and the land is defiled; therefore I do visit (see) the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomits out its inhabitants” (Leviticus :18,22,24,25)

If you think in strictly secular terms homosexuality is bad enough to ban it because of its indoctrination of children to its lifestyle. It would be (and is now) taught in schools to children against the will of parents like evolution has been for years. Evolution has paved the way for homosexuality. Evolution says there is no God and homosexuality says since there is no God we can do whatever we want to do with no consequences. However, if you think in spiritual terms and believe the Bible you will realize why homosexuality is an abomination to God and a sin worthy of death.

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ and a homosexual you are committing not only a sin but an abomination in the face of your Lord. You will lose all of your rewards in Heaven and can expect sever discipline during your lifetime and could possibility die the sin unto death. You have absolutely no business living in such a sin which God takes very seriously.

If you are an unbeliever, homosexual or not, you must come to the realization that there is a God who has provided a “so great salvation” for you. You may think that you have sinned so much that God will never accept you into Heaven. You may not feel qualified or “holy” enough to enter into the presents of God. There are no qualifications to being saved. There is nothing you can do about past sins yourself. You cannot forgive yourself. You must be forgiven by God. You will be forgiven of all sin past, present and future when you make the decision to accept and believe in the person and work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus Christ paid the death penalty for the sins of the whole human race and all you have to do is acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ to God the Father in your own words wherever you are right now and eternal life is yours forever. We are on earth for one reason and that is to make a decision for or against Jesus Christ.

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his uniquely born Son, that whoever believes in him shall never perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through (belief in) him can be saved. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the uniquely born Son of God.”

The only thing that God will condemn you for is unbelief in Jesus Christ because Jesus is salvation and if you reject him there is no other way to be saved.

“Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

This is something that we must all do. Your sin, your arrogance toward God, your meaningless marriage certificate, your good deeds and morality will do you no good when you stand before God at the final judgment and are forced to confess that you have rejected Jesus Christ. You will know that God is real at that point and you will know that he knows your every thought but on that day it will be too late to change your mind. We must accept him by faith and the time is now.

“Let not sin reign therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lust thereof” (Romans 6:12)

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31)

“For the wages (payment) of sin is (spiritual) death; but the gift of God is eternal life though Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).

If you've come away from every encounter with organized religion, Christian or otherwise, determined that if there is indeed a God, he is simply too hard to fathom, I encourage you to read Heckathorne's book.

For those who have found little more than contradiction and hypocrisy in the local church and who now believe that apart from church you can have no part of God, this book will give you hope.

And for those who have believed and fallen, now believing there is no way back, Heckathorne delivers a message of promised restoration directly from the Bible.

According to Heckathorne, part of the fault so rampant in today's church lies in the multiple layers of tradition that have effectively shrouded the true gospel message of Christ over the millennia. In fact, the dissatisfaction people feel may be because the hunger and thirst innate to every man has yet to be satisfied in their lives.

Heckathorne appeals to the reader to discover again or anew the unvarnished, simple truth of the gospel and to turn from false teachings and traditions as if your very life depended on it.

His carefully researched publication is broken down into easy-to-read and easy-to-understand chapters, such as "What is God?", "What is Man?", "Are you Seeking Truth?","Satan, The Great Counterfeiter" and "Can You Lose Your Salvation?"

Heckathorne contends that the false teachings that abound in organized religion today are the direct result of deceptions brought about by God's enemy, the fallen angel, Satan, whom Jesus refers to as the "father of lies." in John 8:38:44. Man is particularly susceptible to Satan's lies, as first evidenced in the Garden of Eden when Eve believed the serpent when he said, "You shall be like God." (Genesis 3:5) Satan's fall set the stage for the battle between good and evil -- a battle which is waged yet today in people's actions, thoughts, way of life and, perhaps most significantly, in their belief's about Jesus Christ.

Heckathorne also maintains that the truth of who God is, man's true relationship to him, and the whole matter of sin can be discovered only through careful reading and focused study of Scripture and Scripture alone.

In his introductory remarks Heckathorne reveals, that "... Over the next 35 years I had a desire to learn more and more about the Bible. I studied unimpeded by erroneous religious doctrines or influential denominational affiliations. Because I could see the Bible as truth, and since I could see many practices in the church which were contradictory to it, I finally realized that I had to separate the church, any church, from God in my mind.

"I came to realize that God is perfect, and the local church is not.

"As I see it, the farther away from the basic fundamentals of the Scriptures a church becomes, the more they rely on man's flawed logic and imagination, and the more corrupt they become."

There are no "sacred cows" in Heckathorne's observations. He calls to task faith healers, the worship of idols, gay marriage, the purpose of tithing as well as evolution and its negative impact on faith. He settles the issue of salvation by grace (Ephesians 2:8, 9) and yet offers evidence that a living faith is made visible only by works (James 2:18).

 

...God is not a political football -- that's how one Christian author is responding to the latest efforts by the Democratic Party to try to get more of the Christian vote. Democratic politicos are hoping to convince people of faith that God is on their side regarding the issues of the day. But writer and preacher Jack Heckathorne insists that is not how God operates. "God differentiates people based on whether they have a faith in his Son or not," Heckathorne says. "There could be people in the Democratic Party that are good Christians," he points out, "and there could be bad people in the Republican Party." No particular party can claim God's allegiance, the Christian author asserts, but voters will have to determine whether or not a party's stances on the issues are compatible with biblical teachings. Repent! What does it mean?

The Bible was originally written in Hebrew in the Old Testament and Greek in the New Testament. To understand what repent means it is essential to refer to the original languages. The word repent is an old English word and was not found in the Bible until the King James version of the Bible was translated from the original texts in the year 1611. The word had a meaning to the people of that time but today it really has no meaning or common usage in our modern English.

Many churches teach that it means to feel sorry for sins. Others teach that it means to turn away from sin. Actually, the word repent has nothing whatever to do with sin. It is found in many places in the Bible but I will take two examples to demonstrate it's meaning.

First of all there are two different Greek words which have different meanings that have been translated "repent". It should be noted that when the Bible is translated into other languages the translators, being human, are subject to making errors. Only the original languages were inspired writings. Yes, I am saying that the King James Bible and other versions have translation errors in them. In addition, the English language has changed greatly in the 400 years since the King James was translated. Many words are no longer used and some have taken on a different meaning. In Luke 13:2 Jesus is speaking to sinners. Sinners here are not just people who sin but rather unbelievers. Saints on the other hand were the believers. In 13:3 Jesus says " Except ye repent you will likewise perish" Does this mean unless they repent of their sins they will go to Hades? This question cannot be answered unless we know what repent means. The Greek word used here is "Metanoeo." It is a compound word which means; Meta (change)noeo (thinking). It means to have a change of thinking or as we would say today a change of mind. In other words Jesus was saying ,You unbelievers unless you change your mind (about me) you will wind up in hades also. The word sin is not even found in this passage. When an unbeliever goes from an unbelieving mind to a believing mind he is repenting. He repents and at the same time believes. You cant believe without repenting and you cant repent with out believing. Personal sins have nothing to do with the word repent. Personal sorrow can lead to repentance and often does. For example, a person who habitually commits adultery can become sorrowful of it when he hits bottom and decide to turn to Christ. However, it is the changing of the mind about Christ which is salvation not the changing of the mind about sin. If the person changes his mind about his adultery and not about Christ he is not saved even though he has repented of his sins.

If he suddenly changes his mind about Christ and goes back to his adultery later he is saved. In either scenario a person continues to sin after salvation. God deals with believers who sin as a father would a child. "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?" (Heb 12:6-7) Notice that even in punishment God still loves us and we are still sons. After salvation it may be a different sin or he may sin less than before but he will sin because we all have the sin nature which we inherited from Adam. Absolutely no sin is acceptable to God. Jesus is the only human who ever lived who did not posses the sin nature. We are told to confess our sins to God as believers. (1 Jn. 1:9) "If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We do not simply ask for forgiveness of our sins. Confessing is naming each sin. It is a self examination of our soul. God knows what our sins are. The benefit is ours. We acknowledge to ourselves and God what our sin is. It forces us to search our soul for evil and disobedient deeds.

The verse says "If we confess...He will forgive. If we do confess our sins we can avoid punishment from God. However, if we continue in sin divine discipline will surely come. God knows that we will all sin from time to time because of temptation but He hates habitual sin even more because it is intentional and keep us out of fellowship with him and we become useless to his purpose on earth. The sin nature is passed down from Adam through the male. Jesus was born of a virgin and had no human father from which to inherit a sin nature. Our other word for repent is found in Matthew 27:3. Judas, who betrayed Jesus by taking a bribe of thirty pieces of silver from the religious leaders, is now feeling bad because he realizes Jesus is innocent and he is going to be put to death. "Then Judas, who had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented, and gave back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed innocent blood. And he cast down the thirty pieces of silver in the temple, and departed and went and hanged himself."

The word repent here is translated from the Greek word Metamellamai. Again it is a compound word. Meta (change) mellamai (emotions). He became emotional. Notice also that Judas did the three things that many churches teach as salvation yet he was never saved. Judas Repented of his sin (felt sorry), he confessed his sin "I have sinned in that I have betrayed innocent blood" and he made restitution "And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple." True repentance is when an unbeliever changes his mind about Christ and decides to accept him as his savior. We can do nothing about our sin as human beings. That's why we must have a qualified person who is without sin to be our substitute. Salvation is belief in the God/Man. Jesus Christ was true humanity and undiminished Deity in one person. Simply believing that Jesus existed or believing that there is a God is not salvation. Salvation is believing in the person and the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes...

 

Is Evolution Logical? Part 2 "The Fossils"

There seems to be a lot of confusion today regarding fossils.

Fossils are formed when a plant or animal is covered over quickly with mud and then when it dries out later it leaves an imprint in the resulting sedimentary rock. The plant or animal decays and only the impression is left. Sediments are carried by water and laid down covering over a life form.

Fossils are only found in sedimentary rock. Never in rock such a granite. Evolutionists would have us believe that the fossils are millions of years old and formed very slowly. They date fossils by the strata (layers in the earth) in which they are found. If a certain animal is found in a particular layer it is deemed to be the same age as the layer. Well, how do they date the layers? They date the layers by the fossils which are found in them. This is circular reasoning. The dates are only assumed. Neither the fossils or the layers are found with little date stickers on them.

Various dating methods such as uranium thorium lead, rubidium strontium and radiocarbon yield such wildly different results and are so full of assumptions and politics that they are basically useless in their accuracy. Assumptions on top of assumptions are made in such tests and when the results are in the evolutionist, who must believe in very old dates, simply discards the dates he doesn't want. Evolutionists proceed with the assumption that evolution is true and that all rocks must be old therefore any young ages he gets are discarded. In addition, they assume that great ages are required to form the earth’s strata so the fossils must be very old as well.

However, things other than plants and animals are also fossilized. Raindrops, a mans hat, a pair of cowboy boots, a set of car keys, a woman's shoe, a gold braided necklace, human footprints, a hand axe are a few examples of things that have been found fossilized inside sedimentary rock and could not have been fossilized over eons of time. In addition, jellyfish are commonly found fossilized. A jellyfish will melt away in just a few days time after it dies. A fish has been found fossilized in the process of eating a smaller fish. An ichthyosaur (an extinct marine reptile) was fossilized in the process of giving birth. Such examples prove a rapid burial. Such as would occur in a large flood.

Common sense dictates that neither animals, plants or humans would die and lay on the ground for millions of years while they were being fossilized. Dead things decay very rapidly. Fossils are also found in coal seams which evolutionists claim took millions of years to form. Trees are commonly found running vertical through what should be millions of years of strata. How could a tree stand in one place for millions of years without rotting away? In addition some trees are found upside down. It is evident that the fossils are not as old as some would have us believe. It follows then that neither are the animals that have been fossilized. Creationists believe that there was a world wide flood at some time in the past and that the strata was laid down by running water. The animals, plants etc. which were fossilized were trapped by mud flows. This would explain why there are literally billions of fossils and why they are found in all parts of the world at different depths. It would also explain why there is sedimentary rock and marine fossils in high elevations and on mountain tops. As I said earlier, evolutionists date the fossils by the supposed age of the strata in which they are found.

The textbook strata drawings which you find in school textbooks does not exist in the real world. There are not six or eight nice neat layers each representing a time period. In some places there are no layers at all in other places there are many thousands of layers. Some layers are thick and some are micro fine. Furthermore, any given fossil is not always found in the same layer. In other words, some extinct animal might be found three feet deep in one area and fifty or a hundred feet deep nearby.

These are called misplaced fossils and are not at all uncommon. From an evolutionary standpoint one would think that the specimen nearest the surface would be millions of years more evolved than the other but they are always virtually identical. Evolutionists claim that all species of animals change gradually over millions of years. They also boldly claim (and necessarily so) that there are numerous transitional links which have been found in the fossil record. When creationists have ask for proof of these claims they are either ignored or shown drawings and skulls made from plaster or perhaps a tiny fragment of bone.

The fact is that the fossils which are found are fully formed and functional. We never find a half bird and reptile fossil for example. The one from china which was in the news a few months ago was proven to be two different animals glued together. It was a total fraud but fooled many people.

If evolution was indeed true there would be many many transitional fossil forms in various stages of evolution rather than just fully formed ones. Yet all we find is fully formed fossils. No matter if it is an animal, plant or human fossil they are always fully formed.

Charles Darwin himself in his book "Origin of Species" states "...why if species have descended from other species by insensibly fine graduations, do we not everywhere see innumerable transitional forms?" And"...the number of intermediate and transitional links, between all living and extinct species must have been inconceivably great"

In the same book he states again "...innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we not find them imbedded in countless numbers in the earth? Why is not every geological formation and every stratum full of such intermediate links? Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain; and this is perhaps the most obvious and gravest objection which can be used against my theory."

Today after having cataloged well over 250 million fossils of 250,000 fossil species evolutionists cannot hold up a single undisputable transitional fossil. The famous evolutionist and paleontologist Steven J. Gould of Harvard University in the book "The Return of the Hopeful Monsters" says "The fossil record with its abrupt transitions offers no support for gradual change...All paleontologists know that the fossil record contains precious little in the way of intermediate forms; transitions between major groups are characteristically abrupt." Where did they go? Could it be that they never existed? Gould believes in the idea that a reptile laid an egg and a bird hatched from it. (hopeful monster theory). This theory was invented to try and explain away the lack of transitional forms. However, it raises even more questions.

What did the bird mate with? Why isn't this happening today? Darwin said that unless the transitional forms were found his theory way just a bunch of useless speculation. The theory of evolution does not even qualify as a scientific theory by sciences own standards. It is not science. True science is observable, repeatable and falsifiable. Evolution is none of these. Evolution masquerades as science.

It is a religion as so stated in the humanist manifesto. It is the atheists godless religion and requires a tremendous amount of faith to believe in it especially in light of what we know today.

Evolutionists oppose any other teaching in the schools other than Evolution. Why is this? If they are so sure that evolution is a "fact" as they say why not teach both evolution and abrupt appearance with no religious connections.

Evolutionists nearly always loose the debates with creationists because their arguments are so very weak. They rarely present facts in public debates because they know that the creationists have logic and common sense on their side. So, they resort to tactics such as questioning their opponents education, name calling, telling people that evolution is so complicated that the average person can't begin to understand it. Implying that we should take their word for everything because they are the sole possessors of knowledge and truth.

They present lifelike plaster skulls of imaginary ape men made up by artists to their specifications and then try to hoodwink people into thinking they are real. Many evolutionists will no longer debate in public and who can blame them. Evolution is at best unsubstantiated conjecture and at worst the greatest hoax in human history which has deceived many.

Some evolutionists become indignant because creationists have questioned their life's work. This implies that they believe that only they are qualified to conjecture about the origin of life. They are, in effect, trying to find proof that there is no God.

The apostle Peter writes; "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they are willingly ignorant of, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water, by which the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.

But the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men" 2 Peter 3:3-7.

 

Is Evolution Logical? Part One

Evolutionists claim that animals, plants and humans evolved gradually over millions of years and that certain features, such as the eye, evolved as time went along. Is this really even logical?

Lets look at the human body as a whole in a bit more detail and not just accept the word of some college professor who is paid to teach such things. First of all science has never proven that humans evolved. To the contrary. The more we advance in science the more we realize that all life forms come from information contained in DNA. DNA is a set of instructions on how to build a person to put it simply. Think of it as a computer program. Once the program is put into the computer it will do whatever it was designed to do. Nothing else. DNA is much the same except it is light years ahead and far more complicated than any computer program.

It will build whatever organism it was designed to build. Dogs are always dogs, roses are roses, people are people. There are different kinds of each of course and they can be crossbred within the kind. For example you can breed a greyhound and a collie and get a dog with features of both. What you cant get is a cat or a horse. Why? Because the DNA has no instructions on building a horse or a cat. In the case of mutated genes the same is true. A mutation might cause a cow to have an extra leg but it will never cause a cow to have feathers.

You can only get a scrambled version of the information which is already present. Mutations can not add anything new to DNA because the information is not available. Evolutionists call crossbreeding micro evolution and claim that micro evolution causes (somehow) Macro evolution which is the changing of one animal into an other animal. This goes against all scientific knowledge. This is the basis for the idea that features on an organism develop over time. This is flawed thinking to say the least. How could any organism reproduce over thousands of generations before the ability and the organs to reproduce evolved? Of course it could not have.

The ability to reproduce had to be present at the very beginning. The same could be said of the heart, stomach, lungs, nervous system, brain etc. No matter how primitive the organism was or how small its size, all of the vital organs had to exist at the very beginning.

No organ could survive on its own and no organism can survive without its many vital organs and systems. No part of an airplane will fly on its own. A wheel wont fly, a propeller wont fly, a wing wont fly, fuel wont fly.

To say that organs evolved as time went along is to say that a plane built itself while it was flying in the air. It could be said that an airplane is made up of non flying parts. Nothing works unless it all works. Anyone knows that every airplane was designed and built by an intelligence.

And we were designed and built in the beginning by an intelligence far greater than our own.

 

Muslim faith & Jesus Christ

The Muslim faith does not believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God. This belief is critical if in fact the Muslim faith is true. If Jesus was the Son of God then everything he said concerning his death, burial and resurrection would be true because God is not a liar. It would also be true that he paid the penalty for our sins as our substitute on the cross and that we would obtain salvation by believing in him.

Jesus said in John 10: 27 thru 30. "My sheep hear my voice; and I know them and they follow me. I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand, my Father who has given them to me is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Fathers hand. I and my Father are one."

These verses make it clear that Jesus claimed to be the Son of God and that he is one (person) with the Father. Furthermore, Jesus claimed to be the resurrection for mankind and that belief in him results in salvation. John 11: 25 says " I am the resurrection and the life (Eternal) He who lives (physically) and believes in me will live (eternally) even though he dies (physically) and whosoever lives (physically) and believes in me will never die (eternally).

Do you believe this? The Muslim faith does believe that Jesus was only a prophet sent from God but not the God/Man. I would ask any Muslim to carefully consider this question. If Jesus was a prophet from God would he lie about being the Son of God, the resurrection, the source of eternal life, having the power to give eternal life and being "one" with the father? Your answer to this question will determine your eternal future. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved" Acts 16:31.

 

Satan -The Great Counterfeiter

For every truth that God has Satan has a counterfeit. He has a lie which is so close to the truth that unless you examine it carefully you will be deceived. He uses “religion” to spread these lies. For example, the Bible clearly says in hundreds of placed that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. However, in many churches which have been infiltrated by “religious” thought (human view point) rather than the true Gospel (Divine viewpoint) you will find that they will teach about Jesus but when it comes to the Gospel you will hear things such as “repent of your sins and invite Jesus into your heart”.

What is wrong with that? It is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is Satan’s counterfeit gospel. There is not a single scripture that tells us to repent of our sins and invite Jesus into our heart for salvation. This false gospel leaves out faith entirely. Faith is believing.
Inviting does not require any faith. I can invite an atheist to dinner but I don’t have to believe in him. Faith and believe are the same thing.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Heb.11:6.

When we repent we are changing our unbelieving mind to a believing mind. Jesus said “unless you repent you will perish”. Notice Jesus didn’t say “repent of sins” he said repent (metanoeo Greek) change your unbelieving mind. (See commentary “Repent What Does It Mean?”) The phrase “of sins” has been added and completely changes the meaning of the gospel message which is exactly what Satan wants. In other words, Jesus said “Change your unbelieving mind about me or perish” Satan said “Feel sorry that you are a sinner or perish”

There are many more of Satan’s counterfeit gospel messages such as “Make Jesus Lord of your Life.” How can one do this? Works. The phrase implies that one must do good works for salvation by hustling for Jesus. The same is true of the phrase “Commit your life to Christ.” The Bible does tell us to” Commit thy way unto the Lord´ (Psm. 37:5) but it is speaking to people who are already saved and instructing them how to pray. When used as the Gospel it becomes out of context and a false Gospel message. Our commitment is not salvation. We can’t keep a commitment very long. Sooner or later we will slip up. People make commitments when they get married but many times the commitment is compromised. A commitment to Christ is wonderful once you are saved but it is not what saves us.

Why do all of these false Gospels exist? Religious unbelievers who are demon possessed spread Satins lies. Now, normally we perceive demon possession in a vile and evil form and it does indeed exist in this form. However, Satan knows that people are attracted to certain things such as entertainment, good looking pleasant people etc. So he possesses these types of people and lures you into his church whereupon he fills your head with these false gospels a little at a time and keeps you there until you fully believe them. At such churches you will find very little true Bible study and Satan will be perceived to be a vile and ugly being with a pitch fork running around making you do bad things.

Satan and his demons deceive many people by being very nice and pleasant. The anti Christ, who will appear during the tribulation period of seven years, will be a person well liked by not only the unbelievers but will deceive believers as well. He will be so well liked by the Jews and Arabs that he will be able to make peace between them as no one else has ever been able to do. The antichrist, of course, will be a man possessed by Satan himself.

Jesus Christ was God and became a man. He was God and man and came to save the world. The antichrist is the counterfeit. He is man and Satan and will come to deceive the world about the saving work of Jesus Christ on the cross..

Satan wants to disguise what he really is and muddy the waters about the things of God.

What is your God? Are you one of those people who claim to be a Christian but ignore Gods word? Do you have your eyes on things? Have you lived your life to just make money and buy new and better material things? If you are you are following Satan’s plan. He wants you to get your eyes on worldly pleasures and off of Jesus Christ. The world system is owned and operated by Satan himself. Does that surprise you? You didn’t think that this corrupt and evil place was Gods kingdom did you? Satan has complete dominion over the world.

“Again, the devil taketh him (Jesus) up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them; and saith unto him. All these things I will give thee if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then Jesus said unto him, Get thee hence Satan (go back where you came from you liar) ; for it is written Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and only him shalt thou serve. Then the Devil leaveth him and, behold. angels came and ministered unto him. (Matthew 4:8-11)

Just about everything that we can see in this world is corrupt and evil. Evil is anything that omits God and draws attention away from Gods word. Satan’s forces are working overtime in the world today. It is obvious in some areas. We can see sex pervading everywhere. Homosexuals are now accepted as pastors in churches. This is difficult to understand since God condemns homosexuality. (See Let. 18:22, Romans 1:21-32).

Although evil has existed from the beginning, the world has become more and more evil as time goes along. Today we find ourselves in a world nearly totally immersed in sin. Sin is so accepted that special rights are given to groups who hate God. Atheists, for example, are the only ones allowed to write school text books. If you don’t believe that look at any school text book and find the word God or creator. They are very careful to not use words which may indicate that there is a God. In addition evolution is taught as fact (when it is actually mere conjecture) in an effort to destroy the faith of young minds.

Homosexual couples are rewarded with rights and benefits that non homosexuals cannot receive. In other words Satan is saying if you don’t worship him in sin you will not be rewarded.

He uses the same strategy in the tribulation yet to come. During that seven year period if a person does not take the mark of the beast (ie pledge allegiance to Satan) he will be not be able to buy or sell anything and may be executed.

Satan has his own counterfeit churches, his own ministers, his own ministry dedicated to himself, his own evangelists, his own missionaries and his own communion table. Many of his ministers are very prominent and you can see many of them on television. They will present what seems to be the gospel but at the end they twist things and that makes it false Many. people are deceived and because they are not seeking truth and because they like the TV preacher they choose to believe what they hear.

Originally, Satan wanted to be God but because of his rebellion God has condemned him to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. The Angels who choose to go with Satan will also be cast into the Lake of fire. All unbelievers and people who attempt to be saved by works will be cast into the lake of fire as well.

Don’t let yourself get caught up in Satan’s lies. He will make you doubt the existence of God, the plan of God, the deity of Jesus Christ, the validity of the Bible, the existence of Heaven and Hades etc. How can you avoid these lies? Consistent study of Gods word produces a greater faith. Faith in Jesus Christ is what it’s all about. Faith pleases God. It is his plan for man to believe in Jesus Christ despite the deceit of Satan.

No matter what Satan throws at us, no matter what obstacles we must encounter we must never let go of out faith. Faith is our salvation, it is our spiritual walk through life, it is our victory over Satan.

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12:1-2)

 

Can You Lose Your Salvation?

“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price (the substitutionary death of Christ on the cross) therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are Gods” (1 Cor. 6:19 & 20)

Jesus Christ purchased our freedom out of the slave market of sin. We were born as a slave to sin with a dead human spirit and condemned to the Lake of Fire.

“As by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death (spiritual) by sin,
and so death spread to all men…” (Romans 5:12)

“The wages of sin is death (spiritual) but the gift of God is eternal life.

Our sin problem must be solved before we can enter into Heaven because no sin is allowed in the presence of God. We must have righteousness (sinless perfection)
which is equal to Gods righteousness in order to live with God for eternity. We can do good works, go to church, give money, pray a dozen times a day, feed the poor, walk the isle, put on our pious face, get the rosy glow, jump up and down, speak in tongues, light candles, sing Do Lord, go to other countries and give kids new shoes, eat bird seed and lettuce leaves, bring someone to church, get baptized every time you change churches (in case the first one didn’t take) dedicate your life to Christ, rededicate your life to Christ (because the first one didn’t take), make Christ Lord of your life, weep tears of repentance at the alter, bring a pot of beans to the church social, repent of your sins, feel sorry for your sins, kick the devil out, confess your sins to another sinner who is just as bad a you, recite hundreds of false clichés but guess what, all of these things and anything else you do will not give you Gods perfect righteousness.

In other words our works cannot save us. Our attitude toward Jesus Christ is salvation. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31) Notice that Paul here did not say “you might be saved if you meet certain conditions in the future.” He said “will be saved.” Salvation is a decision. It is a belief in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. It is not living a sinless life or a life of doing good works. There are no preconditions to be saved such as cleaning up your life or repenting of your sins.

Titus 3:5 tells us “Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us…

There are false teachers today who tell us that we are saved by Grace through faith but we can lose our salvation if we commit a BIG sin such as murder or if we sin enough small sins. God will get enough of it and take our salvation away.

Could we commit murder or some other big sin as an unbeliever and later in life be saved? Can a believer in Christ commit murder and still be saved? Or does he lose his salvation? As previously stated NO SIN IS ALLOWED INTO HEAVEN. Not big ones, not little ones. Not even one single sin. We must be perfect, sinless and righteous. Therefore, to say that we lose our salvation because of sin is absurd. Everyone sins believers and unbelievers. The Bible tells us that “There is not a just man upon the earth that doeth good and sinneth not…”

So since no sin is allowed into Heaven therefore we can conclude that no one can be saved. In other words they are saying that we are saved from sin by the Grace of God through our savior Jesus Christ and then we lose our salvation because we sin. It’s a catch 22. This perverse lie is directly aimed at unbelievers but can destroy the life and the effective witness of believers as well who fall prey to it.


Satan would love everyone to believe that. If you believed, as an unbeliever, that you lose your salvation because you sin you would throw up your hands and say what is the point of getting saved today because I’ll sin again sooner or later (most likely before the day is out) and then I’ll be lost again. Then how would I be saved again? By believing in Christ again? What if I never stopped believing in Christ while I was sinning? Am I saved or what? How many sins are too many? That would mean that faith in Christ does not really save you. If it doesn’t and works don’t either then what does save us? I can’t know if I’m saved or not.

“And this is the record that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son has not life.”

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life…” (1 John 5: 11-13)


The last thing Satan would want is for believers to believe that they are kept eternally secure because then, when they sinned, they could confess their sin (1 John 1:9) and move on as an effective witness for the Lord. If they believed that they had lost their salvation they would no longer witness at all. An unbeliever would be more inclined to accept Christ if he believed that his decision for Christ would really save him.

Satan and his seemingly nice followers are very clever and they are everywhere.

The apostle John saw Jesus coming and declared “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world…” (John 1:29) Does this mean that he took away the little sins and left the big ones? Are there sins that he left us to pay for ourselves? NO. He took away in his own body all sins past, present and future.

To say that we can lose our salvation by sinning after we are saved by Grace, a gift from God that we do not earn or deserve, is a contradiction. The very reason that we must have a savior is because we cannot save ourselves from the sin penalty. We must be made righteousness by some means.

“For he (God the Father) made him (Jesus Christ) who knew no sin (perfect righteousness} to be sin (paid the death penalty as a substitute) for us, that we might be made the (perfect) righteousness of God in him (Christ).” (2 Cor. 5:21).

“Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead (spiritually because of) sins, should live (eternally) unto righteousness; by whose stripes (punishment for sin) ye were healed. (God and man drawn together) (1 Peter 2:24)

People who believe that you can lose your salvation once you are saved usually quote verses out of context without much study. They will quote a verse such as Hebrew 10:26 which says:

“For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins.”

This verse does not say that we lose our salvation after we are saved. This verse tells us that” If we sin (reject the ministry of the Holy Spirit who makes the Gospel conspicuous to us) willfully (of our own free will) after we have received the knowledge of the truth (when someone explains the Gospel to us) there remains no more sacrifice for sins.”

Jesus Christ is the salvation package and if we reject him there is no other means of salvation. It is a sin to reject the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. In fact, it is the only unforgivable sin because Christ couldn’t die for the rejection of himself.

They will use many other verses which I have found to be speaking about loss of rewards in Heaven or verses which are simply irrelevant to the subject altogether. It is an attempt by Satans followers to deceive the unwitting. Their whole philosophy boils down to this; You can only be saved for a short period of time until you sin enough or you quit believing. We are not born into Gods family. Our redemption is not sealed. We are not sanctified.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

“For by one offering (Jesus Christ) He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.

“In whom ye also trusted after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after ye believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.
Who is the assurance of our inheritance and the redemption of the purchased possession, (the believer) unto the praise of his glory.” (Eph 1:13 & 14)

“And grieve not (by sin) the Holy Spirit of God, by whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” (Eph 4:30)

When we believe in Christ we are baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit. The root word for baptism is “baptizo” which means to identify one thing with another. In ancient times the word was used when someone put a wool garment in a dye to color it. The garment and the dye then became one. Water baptism as practiced by John was a ritual, designed for teaching, depicting the spiritual truth of the Holy Spirit baptizing us into the body of Christ which is the true church. Water baptism is a physical illustration of a Divine truth as were all of the rituals of the Old Testament. The body of Christ is not a denomination. All believers make up the church even if they are not a member of any denomination.

The Bible tells us that when we believe we are justified, righteous, reconciled, redeemed and have a eternal inheritance because we become the Sons of God.

Salvation is a decision that we make. We must truly believe.

If someone in the swimming pool tells you that the water if fine and you simply jump in you had faith in him. You made a decision to believe. Jesus Christ has told us that the way to Heaven is by having faith in him. Once we truly believe and accept him as our savior God the Holy Spirit picks us up out of sin and says “Here is Mr. Jones. He has believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and I now declare that he is identified with the body of Christ for all of eternity.” At that point our sins are forgiven.

“Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved through his life.

And not only so, but we also joy in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have NOW received the reconciliation.” (Romans 5:6-11)

At the last judgment you will stand before God. The book of life will be opened. The books of works will be opened. Your name will be in one of those books. Everyone’s name is written in the book of life when we are born but if you die without accepting Christ your name is blotted out and written in the Book of works. If you don’t accept Christ as your savior then you will have to depend on your own works and efforts to be saved. You sins will not be judged as they were judged at the cross.

“…and they were judged (condemned) every man according to their works. (Rev 29:13B)

And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Rev 20:15)

Salvation is an either or proposition. You are not sometimes saved and sometimes lost.


My sheep (believers) hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish; neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Fathers hand. (John 10:27-29)

“…He that comes unto me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37b)

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

To believe that you can lose your salvation indicates a lack of understanding Gods grace. Gifts are not taken back by God. We don’t earn gifts we don’t deserve gifts we simply accept them. Salvation is a gift given to everyone who will accept it.

“I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ. That in every thing you are enriched by him, in all utterance and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that you come behind in no gift waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 1: 4-8)

What shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation (trouble), or distress, or persecution, or famine, or peril, or sword?...Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth nor any other creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord. (Romans 8:35-39)
